We honor Veterans through a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) which invites hospices to join a program focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgment. We Honor Veterans provides educational tools and resources to improve veterans’ experiences and access to the care they deserve.
 
Columbus Hospice is proud to participate in the We Honor Veterans program as one of only a few facilities in the country to achieve Level 5 status. Our hospice has earned this highest level status by our commitment to providing veteran-specific care and services, increasing access and improving the quality of care for veterans in our community.
 
At Columbus Hospice, we want to thank our local veterans for their service to our country by offering a pinning ceremony in honor of their courageous sacrifice. Ceremonies are performed by military personnel and attended by family, friends, staff, and volunteers, and frequently joined by Jr. ROTC Cadets and Ft. Benning personnel.
