A planned gift lasts long beyond a lifetime! When you notify Columbus Hospice that you have made provisions in your estate plants to include support for the organization, you are leaving a lasting legacy for the end-of-life care in our community. Columbus Hospice relies on the generosity of our community to help provide services that are not covered by Medicare or Insurance, like Pet Peace of Mind and We Honor Veterans.

Types of Planned Gifts
Will

Include language in your will or trust designating Columbus Hospice as a beneficiary of your assets. Contact us so we can coordinate with you on the appropriate documentation, to ensure your gift is used in accordance with your wishes when received.

Gifts by 'Will' are one of Columbus Hospices' most valued source of support. Unrestricted funds are the greatest flexibility to use funds where they are most needed.

You may leave Columbus Hospice:

  •  A stated dollar amount

  • A percentage of your residual estate (gifts that remain after loved ones and expenses are paid off)

  • A specific assets, such a securities or marketable items

Individuals ages 70.5 years old or older can transfer up to $100,000 per year to Columbus Hospice from a IRA, to satisfy the requirement minimum distribution for the year.

Name Columbus Hospice as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified plan. Designate us to recieve all or a portion of the balance of your plan through your plan administer. The balance in your plan will transfer to Columbus Hospice after your passing.
