When someone you know has a serious illness, being a caregiver can significantly change your life. At Columbus Hospice, we strive to provide the best possible care for you. Our team of hospice professionals includes physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, counselors, chaplains, and a network of volunteers who are dedicated to serving our patients and their families. We are committed to easing pain and delivering quality end-of-life care.
It is important to guide families through hospice care, too. We offer educational resources to help you understand exactly what to expect, as well as bereavement counseling to provide support when you need it most.
The Columbus Hospice House is the original inpatient unit in the area. While the main focus of the hospice program is to enable patients to spend their final days at home, sometimes needs cannot be met so they may be admitted into the Columbus Hospice House. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are only a phone call away. (706) 569-7992.
At Columbus Hospice, we also offer assistance with Advance Directives. An advance healthcare directive, also known as a living will, personal directive, or advance decision, are instructions specifying what actions should be taken for an individual’s health in the event that they are no longer able to make decisions for themselves due to illness or incapacity, and appoints a person to make such decisions on their behalf. We can assist you in filling out the Advance Directive to ensure its clarity and effectiveness.
